Yaro Starak Masterplan Review - Chapter 6

The Prelaunch and Launch - Chapter 6 of Yaro Starak’s free Membership Site Masterplan

After chapter 5 and triggers, Yaro goes into detail covering the build up to and the actual launch.

A while back, we used to just launch stuff. Now we do a pre-launch, then a launch. This is because it works. The basic idea behind the pre-launch is to create a buzz about what is coming - build anticipation, excitement, get people talking.

Yaro does a good job of explaining the difference, and also again, giving us the wisdom if his real-world experience. He also gives us some great tools and tactics we can use in this lead up to the launch.

Just in case you didn’t notice, affiliates are a very powerful method of pre-launch - they write detailed articles on blogs about the upcoming program, like Yaro Starak and his Membership Site Mastermind Program (that I’ll be on) that he’s launching soon..

Again, Yaro reminds us: give great stuff away - people look at it and think “if the free stuff is this good - how good must the members stuff be!”

- all are good ways to build a buzz.

Yaro talks us through the process, with timings, suggestions, tips etc. Advice on affiliate percentages, the importance of email campaigns etc, then we look at creating the sales page.

It’s interesting to hear Yaro compare relative importance between the sales page and the lead up - saying that everything you do in the lead up (the launch process) to the sales copy is more important. He also tells us whether to write our own sales copy or pay someone else to do it.. in conjunction with more real life stories of what happens as you work through this stuff.

As Yaro says, the thing to do is look at the difference good salescopy can make to sales - and then determine the value of that salescopy. Although, I’ve personally seen someone pay $10,000 for a single page of salescopy, and watched it ‘not’ perform - ouch!

The Launch Phase is the big day - with sound advice on testing, preparedness, early notification lists, and finally opening the doors!  - I get excited just reading about it! There’s some interesting data on how many people are likely to sign up when, and then a great section on how to keep the momentum going through the launch.

This can be a really busy time, and of course the program has to start - Yaro gives great advice on managing all aspects, including support whilst in the early days.

Once everything settles down, and you are over-delivering your content - we can address the subject of chapter 7 - how to deal with attrition.
