The Big One - Mind Expanding..
I’ve just been listening to an mp3 called ‘The Big One’ by Bob Proctor, for the third time.. It really is mind expanding - every single time I hear it.
Even though I’m familiar with the idea of why this happens, it still fascinates and amuses me as to why we see things we didn’t see the last time. in case anyone isn’t familiar with this - what basically happens is that as we read something which shifts our understanding - our awareness expands.
As our awareness expands, we are able to see more. So we can then for example read the same text as we previously did - and we see things we didn’t see before - because of our expanded awareness.
It’s not that those things weren’t there before - just that we didn’t have the awareness to be able to see them. So of course, as we study, our awareness expands, and we ’see’ more.
Interestingly then, the results we achieve in life, are an indication of our level of awareness… challenging, but true. Try it, you’ll ’see’ for yourself
The mp3 I’m referring to is one of Bob’s best in my opinion. It covers almost all aspects of how we can create success in tangible form, and what gets in our way when we try and fail.
In very basic summary:
- What we think about we create.
- If we think the way we usually do, we feel safe and in our comfort zone - familiar territory, so we get what we usually get - our results stay the same.
- If we think in new ways - unfamiliar ways - we either move forward into new results, OR - we come up against the fear of the unknown - outside of our comfort zone, and we step back into safety.
- Once we understand what that fear is and where it comes from - simply an unfamiliar ‘vibration’ or feeling - we don’t allow it to stop us moving forward.
And this goes back to one of the primary principles of success:
Successful people are willing to do the things that unsuccessful people are not. All this really means is that successful people are willing to learn and grow and understand (expand their awareness) - and constantly move towards unfamiliar feelings and fears.
Of course, it’s ultimately all about what we think, what we give our attention to, but the way Bob teaches and presents it is nothing short of phenomenal.
