Success in a Nutshell

There’s a massive industry around success and self-development, and after years and years of study, the essence boils down to a few principles..

  1. You have to know what you truly want.
  2. You have to set a goal to achieve it.
  3. You have to take action steps towards that goal.
  4. You have to keep at it until you reach it.

Sounds easy. It’s the hardest thing in the world for some.

  1. To know what you want, you really have to know and understand yourself first, to understand what drives you, what your unique gifts, talents and abilities are, and how you can express them. What is it that you can be the best in the world at - there will always only ever be one you. All of this within the context of creating value for others.
  2. A true goal is something that you know when you have achieved it. Implicit in that goal, should be the natural principle of expansion and expression - growth. It has to move you along your own path of growth and expression - the gradual realisation of a worthy ideal. You don’t set a goal to achieve it, but for what it will make of you to achieve it.
  3. Action steps are a yes to the question: “If I do this, will it move me in the direction of my goal”. Don’t attempt steps you’re not willing to take, ask yourself what are you willing to do - and then do it., however small. One step at a time.
  4. Never quit. You’ll need passion, desire, courage, persistence - inspiring and supportive words. Connections. Friends. Knowing your purpose in life will fuel this pursuit with a desire, and keep you heading in the right direction. Having goals will provide the necessary stepping stones on the journey to success.

There’s one more thing, and it’s the most important.

You have to learn the truth of the concept, that what happens in your mind, will dictate what happens in your world. What you think about you create, what you feed with your thoughts will grow, what you believe becomes your truth. Your results start with your thinking.

Your world begins in your mind..

- to your success,

Paul.
