The GratitudeLog.com - tell someone how much you appreciate them

Mike Reining, a nice guy I met a couple of years ago, has started something quite special, inspiring and positive. It’s called the GratitudeLog. Like most great ideas, it’s simple. Each day, you write a short log entry of what you are grateful for. It gets you thinking, and it gets your mind into a place of gratitude - a very powerful place.

Today I thought about how grateful I am for everything my parents have done for me over the years. I’m also grateful for the fact that they can hear me tell them that. And it reminded me of the letters (emails actually) that I wrote them both about 18 months ago. Telling them how grateful I was for all that they had done, given and sacrificed for me. Telling them how much I loved them, and how proud I was to be their son. It was that type of letter that we often wish we had written, but now it’s suddenly too late. I didn’t want to be in the place where it was too late to tell them those things. I wanted them to hear it, and to know it. I think it had a profound effect.

Start your own Gratitude Log - tell someone today how much you appreciate them.
