Goal Achieving - for Internet Marketers

Critical Success Factors

For about the last six weeks, I’ve been buried in a course - Gauher Chaudry’s Pay Per Click Formula 2.0. And let me say - it’s very good.

Although I have a fair bit of experience in Pay Per Click (PPC) marketing, I’m completely new to Cost Per Action (CPA) marketing. And yes, it’s a steep learning curve. 18 Modules, loads of videos, action steps, and probably most useful of all - active forums, where those who haven’t, can ask those who have, how they did it..  :-)

As part of my daily routine, I also keep up to date with what’s going on. Absolutely - I have to watch my OCD - Overpowering Curiosity Distraction, but hey, I go easy on myself also..

So I also look at what is going on in the industry, and listen to what the wise ones say - you know - the ones earning more money than me..  (just kidding..)

Well, over the years, the same observations have sunk deeper into my belief systems, and have been demonstrated over and over again.

There are a million ways to earn money online. There are a million ‘gurus’ telling you how to do it. And there are literally millions of people buying into the latest and greatest systems or courses - and most of those people fail miserably, then either give up, or more usually - just buy the next one in the hope that ‘this is the one’. [Yep, include me in that..]

What the heck is that all about?

The thing that has become more clear, and more obvious, is that as we repeatedly fail to achieve our wishes, the problem isn’t with the course or product, but with ourselves - or more accurately, our thinking.

We want it now. We want it quick. We want it easy. And we don’t really want to admit to that, because it sounds crazy, but at the same time we’re bombarded with that very message by media and smart online marketers.

“Work a few hours, make loads of money, all from the comfort of your internet-wired-armchair.”

If the success was in the system (or course or product), then for the easiest and biggest and most certain success, we need the latest and greatest system. The problem with that, is that what’s new this week, is old next week. New systems and course are launched almost weekly online, and they’re always better than the previous ones. And these guys are really good at the marketing..

Well, it’s good to know that the success isn’t in the system. It’s in you.

Any one of the systems or products or courses will do. It’s you that needs the ‘attention’.

The secret is in how you think, feel and act. You can pick up the technical or business tools and skills quite easily - but to become successful involves that elusive extra ingredient.

Every successful person has it, without exception. It’s lies buried within our mind, but can be summed up as our attitude. And the right attitude can be forged - just takes time.

The quickest way to forge that ’success attitude’ is to see it as a muscle - and start training it. Mental Toughness. Perseverance. Set and Achieve Goals.

Set a Goal.

Seriously - set a goal, that embodies some element of your definition of success, but then also define action steps that incorporate whatever tools you have or system you are working on.

So the goal might be to earn $250 in the next 30 days. Or $250,000. Lots of people are doing both.

Then break that down into action steps. Steps that you will need to take, that will move you in the direction of that goal - tangible results.

If one PPC campaign in every 10 is profitable, and one profitable campaign would be enough to achieve your goal, then the action steps are to launch at least 10 campaigns.

If to launch one campaign involves finding offers that fit your criteria list, and typically only 1 in 10 fits, then your action steps for each campaign is to review at least 10 offers against your criteria.

Break it right down into boxes and tasks - which you can complete and tick off.

But make sure that those tasks are steps which will absolutely bring results and move you towards your goal.

Make your list of steps - and then start. Don’t stop until you have completed them and reached your goal. This is the hardest part - this is where you will start to strengthen your mental toughness - and forge that unstoppable attitude. It takes time, but is absolutely possible.

If you find it hard, and are thinking about giving up - give me a shout. If I can help, I will.

- to your success,

Paul.
