You will be totally impressed - I was.. Just one line of code, and my wordpress blog loads more than 4 times faster..

I’m not brilliant at maths, but that must be about a 1/4 of the time, which is 1/4 of the traffic, 1/4 of the resources, surely less power..

We could even call it eco-friendly!

Basically, you just need to enable zlib in your php.ini. There are various ways to do that, a number of them through admin panels which make it very easy..

My favourite wordpress theme/framework has an option to enable or disable gzip for the theme - totally awesome check out HeadwayThemes
