Sunday morning..
This place is beautiful, a six mile run around the local countryside this morning was great. Rolling hills, quiet roads through hamlets, views over woods, lakes, frosty fields and sheep
Sessions look to be 07:30, 10:30, 16:30 and 19:30 - no crazy early morning wake-up!
This is a Buddhist meditation retreat, and I admit to knowing nothing about buddhism. Apparently, Buddha gave different teachings to suit different people and their individual circumstances/views/current awareness. 84,000 of them in all. Read more
Day 0 - Arrived, and start tomorrow..
Well I’m here - http://www.madhyamaka.org/ and although I arrived later than expected, they had saved me a lovely home cooked meal.. and there were lots of hugs.. what a great start! - so kind..
I’m not sure of the routine yet, but it looks as though there are four sessions per day, much silence, and lots of time to contemplate and apply the meditations.. something about sessions at 4:30 and 7:30.. yikes.. hope that’s not 04:30 in the morning..
