10 day Vipassana Meditation Retreat
The 10 day vipassana meditation retreat was very good. It was down at the International Meditation Centre in Heddington. It’s the second one I’ve done at that place, and this time was even better. Some amazing experiences, what I felt were some deep insights, and what I can only describe as a profound shift in my world… This particular place teaches Buddhist Vipassana Meditation, and although there is no requirement to attend, there are daily discourse on the teachings of the Buddha.
Buddhism has always fascinated me, and so far, it’s the most advanced system of understanding the mind, and the true nature of reality. Does it provide all the answers? no. Do it address questions concerning creation, god, spirit etc? no. Does it provide a path to the release of pain and suffering? Yes.
This last few weeks have felt like the culmination of about 15 years of work. It’s like everything has come together, for the first time really. It’s like coming home.
For the first time in my life, I can now speak from a place of absolute core truth, and say that - it is possible to choose our thoughts, and consequently to choose our feelings, and thereby to choose our experience of reality.
So why not choose love
- to be human is the most amazing experience of all..
with love,
Paul.
